Leonard Thomas Jewell

Leonard Thomas Jewell, age 89 of Milford, Michigan, passed away on January 22, 2025 peacefully with his daughter Christine and granddaughter Tina by his side. Leonard was born on June 1, 1935 in Rochester, Michigan to Raymond and Laura Jewell. Leonard was a Navy veteran who spoke fondly of his time in the service. He was the loving husband of Winifred Jewell. He found pleasure in bringing smiles and laughter to those around him, whether it was cracking a joke or a nice compliment, he rarely complained about anything. He was a happy, caring person with a great heart and soul. Leonard had a passion for hunting, fishing, horses and in the later years he developed a love for drawing.

Leonard was preceded in death by his wife Winifred Jewell, son Ron Morris, son and daughter-in-law Sam and Annette Morris.

Leonard will live on through his children Christine Popour, William Popour, Dale Ann Coryell (John), Daisy Gurden (John), Glenn Jewell (Barb), Sally Lange.

His grandchildren Jerry, Tina, Ethan, Kenneth Popour, Aubree Crawford,Amber Morris-Sims, Lance Morris, Jamie Coryell, Liberty Coryell, John Laskey, Sunday Daughtery, Holly Morris and Brett Morris. His great grandchildren Ezra, Emmett Sims, Braxton Link, Adilynn & Bennett Popour. Long time family friend Don Crawford, JT Tandy and many other family and friends.

The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude and thank you to his caregivers who became like family, Lesley Fisher and Darycka Knop for the wonderful care and love they provided.

Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
