Leonard Allen Nunnery, age 72, of Highland, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Leonard was born October 6, 1949, to Raymond and Roberta Nunnery, in Wayne, Michigan. Beloved brother of William (Janet) Nunnery, Gary (Vernetta) Nunnery, an d Sharon Drendall. Leonard is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Leonard grew up on White Lake with his family. Leonard proudly served his country in the United States Army, and did a tour in Vietnam and Germany. After his time in the service, he worked at Pontiac Motors Division for 10 years. He was a member of the Tri County Christian Church in Fenton, where he did many maintenance duties for the church. Leonard was very proud of his service in the military, and in his free time, he enjoyed boating, fishing cutting grass, and working in his yard. He enjoyed family adventures and was always a big help.
In accordance with Leonard’s wishes, he will be interred at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan 48442.
