Samuel K. Gray, age 93, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 11, 2014. He was the loving husband of Lillian (nee Gold), father of Donald (Carol) Gray and Sammye Kaye Sylla, grandfather of Christopher (Tonya) Gray, Rachel (Joel) Frens, DJ (Lindsay) Gray, Charles Sylla, Beth Oakley and Jay Sylla and great-grandfather of 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings and his grandson Michael Sylla. Samuel was a proud WWII Army Air Corps Veteran and was a retiree from Detroit Street and Railway. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Medilodge of Howell Activities Department. Samuel will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Highland Congregational Church, 1605 N.
