I have so many fond memories of Steve.  When Ruth brought me on as a new reporter, poor Steve had to constantly give up the dining room table and turn the TV down while I learned.  Then we figured out we both loved hockey.   The volume on the TV came back up, and we fired up the grill and opened some cold beers.  Between Ruth's cooking, Steve's  (a/k/a Grill Master) grilling skills,  and the great friendship we shared, they made sure I never left hungry -- both body and soul refreshed from my visits.   Living in Virginia, it was great having someone to talk Red Wing hockey with.  I'll miss you, my friend.  

Ruth and Steve were my very first customers when I moved my business from Indianapolis to Michigan. They instantly became like my own family and I often refer to Ruth as my “Michigan Mom”. Steve had an incredible sense of humor and could always make me laugh. My favorite memories were when we were hanging out and I would talk about how much I loved President Obama and get him all worked up. Steve had a heart of gold and will be missed horribly by all those that knew him. I’m sure we will be able to hear him swear all the way from Heaven when Trump looses this election in November!!!  Always in our hearts, Buddy. Thanks for Always making me feel special. Love you. 

Uncle Steve where to begin i have so many favorite memories of you that I'll cherish forever so many long talks we would always joke about having a race to see who was faster on the walkers (i knew deep down you would win) thats why i never took you up on that one lol i know your in a better place now your at peace you will be forever missed by many I Love You so much until we meet again R.I.P

To my loving brother Steve, I will never forget the good times and the bad, the tears of sorrow and the tears of joy. I will always miss you. I love you with all of my heart.

There is so much to say about the individual you are, but the first things that come to mind are loving and comedic. Whenever you walked into a room your laughs were always contagious, I will never forget that laugh. I will always cherish our afternoon games of Yahtzee or rummy we played and your inappropriate jokes you would always crack. Thank you for the words of wisdom you have given me from time to time I will always hold those words close to my heart. You were and always will be amazing uncle, brother, son and so much more. Give Great Grandma and Grandpa Tossey a hello from me. Give my Papa a loving hug. Give Uncle Mike and Uncle Phil a good laugh. Give Aunt Barb my love. Heaven and everyone there got a little brighter since you arrived. Until we meet again. I love you.

I attended OLL HS where my oldest brother Mike met Steve’s sister Judy. When they were married 52 years ago the Tossey family became part of our family. We loved Ted and Maxine and their 6 children. My brothers played hockey with Steve. Steve and his siblings were always fun to be with. We have wonderful memories of great times spent together. RIP Steve as you join those members of your family that were taken too soon. 

We truly feel fortunate to have known Steve and to have had the privilege to call him both friend and family ...We miss you Steve😘. Love Huey & Joanne 

I am so sad to hear of my Uncle Steve's passing. He will be remembered as fun loving and happy, always ready with a hug and a kiss. Rest easy, dear uncle. You will never be forgotten.
