William was born September 5, 1951, in Altus, Arkansas, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Ernal and Agnes (Taylor) Evans. He spent the remainder of his thirty year long career at GM, eventually retiring in May 2008. In the early 1980's, William was introduced by his daughters to Linda Signs; and it was love at first sight! Linda and William began dating, and were eventually married on July 17, 1982, sharing nearly forty wonderful years together. William was an avid Harley Davison fan. His Harley was his pride and joy, and he cherished the memories he made on his motorcycle trips all over the United States. In his free time, William could be found playing video games with his grandson, or enjoying one of his woodworking projects. Over the years, William created a very special bond with his dog, Luke, who he loved dearly.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Ernal and Agnes; his brother, Junior; and his two sisters: Sue, and Barb.
