He retired from IHS Distributing then worked for Holland Special Delivery until 2010.
Darwin is survived by his wife of 30 years, Hope, and children; Catherine and Rich Carpenter, Deborah and Dr. Jeffrey Rewitzer. He is also survived by his brother, Skip Overway and sisters; Marlene Von Ins, Georgia Essenburg and Cindy Steenwyk and fiancé Terry Hemmeke. One granddaughter, 3 great grandsons and 3 great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

A gathering to celebrate Darwin's life will be on September 8 (Friday) from 6 - 8 pm at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St, Holland MI.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, West Michigan Chapter, 4081 Cascade Rd SE, Suite 400, Grand Rapids MI 49546.
