Donald Eugene Breazeale

Donald Breazeale was born in Detroit, MI on October 27, 1931, to George and Ila Breazeale. Don had a 10th grade education in the Detroit area schools where he was raised. Don joined the United States Army in 1951 until 1953. In 1957, he married Ellen Stocks and divorced in 1968. He then met Mary Jo Lanier and they got married in 1973. They were married for 40 years until her death in 2013. Don worked for Ford Motor Company in Ypsi most of his life. Don moved from the Belleville area to Holland in 1995 and to the south to be near family in 2015. He built radio control airplanes and flew them. He also loved driving his Camaro with the top down. Don struggled with cancer for 4+ years. Don will be deeply missed by many.

Don is survived by: his daughters, Myra Cardona of St. Augustine, FL., Suzanne (Sharon) and Leon Arbuckle of Eagleville, MO.; stepdaughters, Anita (Rich) Hosmer of Manchester, MI, Ardale (Cal) Schrotenboer, Hamilton, MI Michael (Cindy) Manning of NV,; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by; his father, George Breazeale; mother, Ila (Prhawl) Breazeale; brothers, Hardy and Robert; sister, Virginia; wife, Mary Josephine; stepson, Jimmy Lanier.

A graveside service will be held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, located at 994 Paw Paw Drive, Holland, Michigan, 49423. The service is scheduled for October 8, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Followed by Military Honors.
