Freda was a member of St Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She served on the board of Campfire Girls and was a board member of the Holland Garden Club where she was the head of Garden Therapy. She loved to sew and made 250 Dutch costumes. She was preceded in death by her son, David (1985).
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ed; children Mary-Jo and Don Kooiker of Holland, Thomas Mott of Holland, Richard and Lorie Mott of Holland, Jeffry and Kris Mott of Holland; grandchildren Callie and Cassandra Kooiker and Nicole and Bo VanDyke, Grace Mott, Kyler Mott. She is also survived by brothers and sisters Juliana Stoufer of Rockford, Gabrielle Baker of St. Petersburg, FL, and Rene´and Beryl DeMaeyer of Grand Rapids.
Freda has donated her body to the University of Michigan Medical School. A Memorial mass will be 10 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 195 W. 13th Street, in Holland. Father Charles Brown will officiate. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, October 3 and Thursday, 9-10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
