Jean married the love of her life, Floyd Van Antwerp, with whom she shared many cherished memories until his passing. Together, they built a beautiful family. She is survived by her children, Todd (Nancy) Van Antwerp, and Scott Van Antwerp. Jean was also a devoted grandmother to Tanya Van Antwerp, Terry Van Antwerp, and Valarie Bush. Her brother, Ward (Lois) DeLano, also survives her. She was preceded in death by her daughter Julie Custer.
Jean had a passion for summer family get-togethers and loved cooking for others, a talent that was widely appreciated by all who tasted her culinary creations. She was a regular visitor at Jonkers Garden and enjoyed hosting anyone and everyone. Known for her great eye for detail, she excelled in decorating for parties and took pride in her fashion sense. Jean worked at Main Sport, where she often brought home more clothes than money, a testament to her love for fashion.
A memorial visitation will be held at Lakeshore Memorial Services, located at 11939 James Street, Holland, Michigan, 49424. Friends and family are invited to gather on February 12, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm to honor her memory.
Jean Louise Vanantwerp will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
