Jo Ann Marie Sweers

Jo Ann Marie Sweers, age 76 passed away peacefully after her long battle with cancer, on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her first husband Dallas E. Griffin, her second husband Leslie R. Sweers Jr. and stepson Tom Sweers.

Jo Ann will be lovingly remembered by her six children, Annette Griffin of Belmont, CA, Daniel Griffin of Atlanta, GA, David Griffin of New York, NY, Katherine Wittum of Holland, MI, Dallas Griffin of Montrose, MI, Angel Kleinbriel of Holland, MI. and all of their families.

She will also be missed by her four stepchildren Oneitta Sweers, John Sweers, Jeff Sweers, and Mary Ann Sweers, and also will be missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, brothers, nieces, nephews and friends.

Jo Ann loved sports. She was a major fan of the Broncos, more specifically Payton Manning and cheered for whichever team he was on. She always cheered on Michigan State Spartans, which the children continue to do. Jo Ann was always excited to see the Olympics and all of the events. She was most proud of her family and loved to spend as much time with them as possible. Jo Ann also had an amazing sense of humor, keeping you on your toes and laughing. She was a loving mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.

Per Jo Ann’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
