Joan Stryker

Joan was born in Zeeland, on January 11, 1929, to John and Nella Kraak. She attended school in Zeeland and worked for over thirty-five years at Howard Miller Clock in Zeeland. She was a member of Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church in Holland. Joan loved to bake and dearly loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Nella Kraak and by four brothers and one sister.

Joan is survived by her husband of sixty-two years Gerald Stryker; her son Gordon (Carol) Stryker; grand daughter Allison (Joe) Nies; and by great grandchildren Mackenzie Nies, Kaylee Stryker and Gabriel Nies. She is also survived by a sister Lois Harsevoort.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, at Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 259 Central Ave. in Holland. Rev. James Scholten of Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church presiding.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Lakeshore Memorial, 11939 James St., Holland.
