Joyce Arleen Birkholz

Joyce was born on February 28, 1951, in Holland, Michigan, to Stanley and Helene Sprick. She loved her family and friends dearly and was a light to everyone around her. Her

smile and endless joy were contagious to everyone who met her. She loved to travel, taking many trips over the last 10 years of her retirement. She was the most wonderful mom and grandma.

Joyce is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tammie (Jason Nyikes), and grandchildren, Bryce and Chloe Nyikes. As well as her five siblings, Bob (Char

Sprick), Jim (Dee Sprick), Virg (Bob Condit), Ruthie (Lynn Sparks), and Judy Essenburg. Along with her many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Birkholz (2015), and her daughter, Kristie Emmons (2025).

Our family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Corwell Hospice for taking such good care of her.

Cremation will take place.

A memorial service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be at 2:00pm, Friday, June 20, 2025 at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland.

A visitation time will immediately follow the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Holland.
