Juaquina was born on August 16, 1930 in Texas, moved to Grand Rapids as a young woman, and raised her family there. Juaqina was very hard-working and retired from General Motors in 1985 after many years of service.
Juaquina is remembered as a loving grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She was known for her love of shopping, cooking for others, and her giving spirit. She is also remembered for her strength and perseverance.
Juaquina was preceded in death by her husband Lisardo DeLaRosa.
She is survived by her three children: Diomar Perez, Sylvia Diane Rotherham, and Michael Cantu; five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. Juaquina is also survived by many extended family and friends in both Texas and Holland.
