Kathy was raised in Allegan alongside her two sisters and brother, and she graduated from Allegan High School. From her earliest years, she carried herself with a steady self-reliance and quiet resolve that remained evident throughout her life.
Kathy devoted herself to her family, raising her son, Shawn (Laura) Serie, with enduring care and commitment. She found deep meaning in time spent with those she loved, and her presence was one of steadfast support and sincere devotion.
A strong, independent woman, Kathy also had a special affection for the companionship and loyalty of her many dogs over the years. In the simple routines of home and family, and in the bonds she nurtured, she expressed the strength and constancy that defined her.
For about 10+ years, Kathy lived in the Holland area. She was a congregation member of Grace Community Church, where her faith and fellowship were part of her daily life and enduring connections.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Brower, and her mother, Patricia Brower. She is survived by her son, Shawn (Laura) Serie; her sisters, Stacy Brower and Shelly (John) Hasting; her brother, Scott (Dawn) Brower; and her grandchildren, Rachel Serie and Dylan Serie.
