Mary Ann Dearen

Born on September 13, 1978, in Bartow, Florida, Mary Ann was the youngest of seven siblings, the cherished daughter of Kenneth Eugene Dearen and Mary Alice Battice. She grew up in Florida, moving around a lot to different states surrounded by her close-knit family before eventually making her home in Holland, Michigan, where she built a life filled with warmth and connection.

Mary Ann devoted many years to serving others, first as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and later in the hospitality industry, where her compassion, dedication, and generous spirit touched countless lives. Known for her big heart and joyful outlook, she found happiness in life's simple pleasures—listening to her favorite music, savoring sweet tea, going to garage sales, traveling, visiting the beach, and above all, spending cherished time with her family. Her three beloved sons were the center of her world; she was a devoted, loving mother who embraced every adventure, laugh, and moment with them.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Eugene Dearen; her mother, Mary Alice Battice; her sister, Polly Ann Woodruff (Battice); and her brothers, Jeffery Allen Dearen and Timothy Battice.

Mary Ann is survived by her three sons, Amonte Durell Millender, Eric Durell Millender, and Donovan Travon Millender; her fiancé, Derell Moore; her brothers, Brian Dearen, Kenneth Dearen and Thomas Battice; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and other loved ones who will forever hold her memory close.

Her warm spirit, adventurous nature, and profound love for her family will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew her. May her memory be a lasting blessing.

A visitation will be held at Lakeshore Memorial Services, located at 11939 James Street, Holland, MI 49424, on January 23, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at the same location, beginning at 11:00 am on January 23, 2026.
