Nelva Jean DeBoer

Nelva was born June 22, 1946, in Grand Rapids, MI to Marlin and Eva Sheridan. After graduating high school, Nelva met the love of her life, Gerald DeBoer. They got married on May 20, 1967. Nelva was faithful within her church community, Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, playing games on Tuesdays with friends, and volunteering on Thursdays. Nelva loved her family, and particularly her grandsons, where she treasured the time spent with them. Nelva was a faithful wife who loved her husband. They enjoyed spending time together traveling, taking walks, and going shopping. She will be greatly missed by all.

Nelva is survived by: her husband, Jerry DeBoer; children, Gina (Ron) Cornacchia, Marla (Mike) Heatley, and Rhonda (Mark) Hill; grandchildren, Gaiden Heatley, Colten Heatley, Andrew (Jenna) Hill and Ethan Hill; brothers, Dennis (Carol) Sheridan, Dwight (Judy) Sheridan, and Anton (Pam) Sheridan; sisters-in-law, Jean Sheridan and Sharon DeBoer.

Nelva was preceded in death by: her parents, Marlin Sheridan and Eva Sheridan; brother, Michael Sheridan; brother-in-law, Donald DeBoer; and grandson, Jonathan Saines.

A visitation for Nelva will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 3151 120th Ave., Holland, MI 49424, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.
