

A graduate of Holland High School, Norma spent her entire life in Holland. She was known for her strong, feisty, and independent spirit as well as always thinking of others. After several years of service she retired as Head Cook for the West Ottawa Hot Lunch program. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Holland and the VFW Auxiliary. She had a passion for cooking, baking, reading, camping and spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed the beauty of Northern Michigan and spent several years wintering in Arizona with her husband, relatives and friends.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Harwell “Rusty” Dunning, and her son, Michael Dunning. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Dunning and Laura Dunning, both residing in Holland, Michigan; her granddaughter Emily Dunning and daughter-in-law Evi Dube, both of Coupeville, Washington.
No services are planned at this time. The family would like to thank Hospice of Holland and Riley’s Grove Assisted Living in Zeeland for the wonderful care they provided. Donations may be made to Hospice of Holland.
