Owen Jack Smith passed away August 1, 2015. He leaves behind his wife, Phyllis Ann; Children: Derek (Kerri) Smith, Jeanne (Tom) Plaggemars, Shane (Kristi) Smith; Step-children: Robin Bell, Kris Vanderyacht, Mark Hall, Nick (JoAnne) Wassink, Dan (Bethany) Wassink, Whitney (Ed) Gasper, Melissa Jo (David) Tatlock;
18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; Siblings: Tom (Marcia) Smith, Eleanor Pressnell, Wes Smith, Virginia (Ron) Edin; Numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. Owen worked hard in the tool and die industry for over 30 years. HE served in Korea and as Saugatuck Commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Known as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Owen will truly be missed by all. Memorial services will be at Community Church of Douglas on August 6, 2015 with visitation at 1:00pm and services at 2:00pm.
