Robert Hale Sr., 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Resthaven Care Center in Holland. He was born July 10, 1941 to the late Tillard and Ethel Hale (Churchill) in Flint, MI.
On August 20, 1961 he married, Elila May DeVoe and they made their home in Reed City, MI, where they raised 5 children; Tracy (Hale) Camburn, Dave & Lorri (Hale) Beck, Victor & Chris (Hale) Marcial, Sandi Hale and Robert Hale Jr.
Robert was so very proud of his grandchildren; Shara, Courtney, Wendy, Landon and his 5 great grandchildren.
Later in life he married, Irene Nelson, who survives. He is also survived by 3 sisters, an aunt, an uncle and many cousins.
Robert was a hardworking man often holding down two or more jobs to make ends meet for the family. He was employed by the Reed City School system for nearly 40 years.
Services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Reed City Church of the Nazarene at 2pm.
