Mr. Gutierrez was born in D’Hanis, Texas on December 21, 1927. He was a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Holland and St. Ambrose in Delton, MI.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Cruz; son and grandson, LeRoy and John Gutierrez; son-in-law and grandson Ron and Richard Ross; as well as daughter-in-law Val Herrera.
Salvador is survived by his children, Salvador E. Gutierrez, Elizabeth (Maurilio) Hernandez, Robert (Eva) Gutierrez, Victor Gutierrez, Betty Ross, Annette (Chris) Bethke; 20 Grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brother Raymond Gutierrez of San Antonio, TX; sister Mary Alice Jarmusch of Vermont; sister Olga Bullock of Houston, TX; sister-in-law Mary Vicencio; daughter-in-law Ruth Gutierrez; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends
A mass of Christian burial for Mr. Gutierrez will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 171 W. 13th St., Holland. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 noon until the time of the services at St. Francis on Wednesday.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Lakeside Vista for the friendship, care, and support provided to Salvador over the past few years.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva (Kindred) Hospice or to the Alzheimer’s/Dementia Foundation.
