Harry J. Mohr, Sr., 81, formerly of Holland, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at the Grand Rapids Care Center in Grand Rapids, Ohio. Harry was born in Holland on January 5, 1930, to Frank and Gladys (Betts) Mohr.
In his youth, Harry was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and the Springfield Township Volunteer Fire Department. Subsequently, he owned and operated two service stations in the Holland-area, as well as one station in Newaygo County, Michigan.
Harry is survived by his son, Harry J. Mohr, Jr.; his sisters Betty Billings and Donna Small; and many nieces and nephews. Harry was preceded in death by his infant child; his parents; his sisters Clara Klapproth and Evelyn "Tootie" Modlinski; and his brother, Howard Mohr.
The burial will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel.
