
Addie Mae Simmons (Mae) passed peacefully to be with God on May 9, 2016. Born to Jack Cutright & Addie Mae Powell Cutright on July 10, 1922 in Selma, CA. Mae was the owner Broker of Golden Palm Realty for 46 years in Ft. Lauderdale. She loved her friends & colleagues she met over the years and was very active in community activities, projects such as the 17th Street drawbridge project which she saw to fruition. She spent almost every day at her office until she fell ill recently. Mae enlisted out of college, in the Navy during WW2 and was stationed at Long Beach Naval Air Station where she worked in Air Traffic Control. Mae traveled the world on many exciting adventures of which she had many wonderful stories.
She is survived by many nieces & nephews & grandchildren who loved her dearly. Mae was preceded in death by her Mother & Father, her husband Frank Simmons; siblings Eula Mustain, Alvirda Theaudeaus, Budge Marion Cutright, Bob Cutright, Edith Johnson, Ole Cutright, Jack Cutright & Edward Cutright. We love you Aunt Mae, rest in God's Loving Arms, all our hugs & kisses.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 10:30 am at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 718 S. Federal Hwy, Ft. Lauderdale 33316. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Lighthouse of Broward, 650 N. Andrews Ave., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33311.
