Allan Goodman

Allan “Al” Goodman, 76, of Sebastian, Florida passed away on 01/26/21, after succumbing to complications from an illness. The visitation will be held at Fred Hunter Hollywood Funeral Home on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 12:00pm-2:00pm. The Funeral Service will start at 2:00 pm. Entombment will follow the service at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Allan Goodman was born in Gloster, Mississippi on 11/10/44. He graduated from North Miami Senior High School and continued on to receive a Criminal Justice Degree from St. Leo University. Allan served in the US Army and was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne, then 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), then 11th Special Forces Group (Airborne).Allan retired from the Miami-Dade Police Department as a Sergeant and had served there from 1971, until his retirement in 1991. Prior to that Allan was a Patrolman for the North Miami Beach Police Department. Allan was married to his loving Patricia for fifteen years. Allan is survived by his wife Patricia, grandchildren Cameron, Morghan, Michael Allan, Ashlynn, brothers Raymond (Debbie), Gilbert (Bobbie), children Andrew (Sharon) and Michelle, nieces Stacey, April, Melissa, nephews Michael, Robert and Ryan and other family members.Allan is pre preceded in death by his parents Sam and Edith Goodman.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the South Florida Police Benevolent Association Love Fund.
