
She lived in many places. Born March 16, 1937, in Havana, Cuba to Emelina and Elias Porras, she pursued her life passion. With the help of her parents, she launched her musical career in 1952 as the lead singer for Nita Del Pino y Los Chapanecos. She relocated to Buenos Aires as part of her musical endeavors. The band recorded many albums, and were awarded a gold record for their song "Escandalo". They also toured South America and Europe until about 1961 when, due to artistic differences, the band split up. She finally moved to Miami, Florida in 1962 and on March 15, 1968, she married Juan Manuel V¡zquez Maldonado.
Ana was a retired member of the Health and Rehabilitative Services Fraud Department, where she worked from 1983 until 2002. Not only was she a music lover, she was an avid orchid grower, fervently embracing this horticultural endeavor in the late 80's until recently. Her love for her orchids and music was only surpassed for her love for her family and friends. Ana enjoyed going late night shrimp fishing with her brother Elias and her brother-in-law, Miguelo. She also enjoyed spending time in the Keys surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of nature around her. Ana will be especially remembered for her quirky sense of humor, her love of practical jokes, her staunch conservative views, her secret love for George W. Bush, and her not so secret love of Donkey Kong. She will also be remembered for her spirit of adventure and the tenaciousness with which she embraced living life every day.
She is survived by her loving and devoted family. Her husband, Juan Manuel V¡zquez , her three children - daughter Wendy Ann V¡zquez ; son Juan Carlos V¡zquez , his wife Yaneidy V¡zquez , with their daughters Elyse Angelina and Myla Rose; and her daughter Deborah Ana Covard, her husband Barry Covard, with their son and daughter Marek Jakub and Kaleigh Brook. She is survived by her sister Caridad Comas, her brother Jorge Porras, and her sister-in-law Hilda V¡zquez, her husband Ramon V¡zquez, and their daughters Ana Dolores Prestwood and Hilda Maria V¡zquez. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Miguel Angel Comas, Ana Crespo, Madeline Barnaba, Jorge Luis Comas, Elias Porras, Scott Porras, and Greg Porras and their respective family members. Ana was preceded in death by her oldest brother Elias Porras in 2010.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Fred Hunter Funeral Home in Davie, Florida (954-527-1550). There will be a church service on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 5:00 PM at St. Maximillian Catholic Church in Pembroke Pines, Florida (954-432-0206). Memorial funds and contributions can be made in Ana's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (1-866-232-8484).

Ana Gloria V¡zquez Porras, falleci a la edad de 77 años en Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton, Florida a la 1:47 AM el 21 de julio del 2014. La cause fue debido a complicaciones de Alzhimer y Parkinson.
Ella vivi en varios lugares. Naci el 16 de marzo de 1937 en Habana, Cuba; sus padres fueron Emelina y Elas Porras. Ella decidi perseguir la pasin de su vida. Con la ayuda de sus padres, comenz su carrera musical como la cantante principal de la banda Nita Del Pino y Los Chapanecos en el 1952. Se relocaliz a Buenos Aires como parte de su esfuerzo musical. La banda toc en gira musical a travs de Sur Amrica y Europa hasta el 1961 cuando debido a diferencias artsticas, la banda se separ. Finalmente, se mud a Miami, Florida en 1962 y el 15 de marzo de 1968 se cas con Juan Manuel V¡zquez Maldonado.
Ana miembro del departamento de fraude de la agencia Health and Rehabilitative Services donde trabajo desde 1983 hasta que se retir en el 2002. No solamente tena amor por la msica, pero tambin era una ¡vida cultivadora de orqudeas, abrazando fervientemente este esfuerzo hortcola en los años 80 hasta recientemente. El amor por las orqudeas y la msica solo fue superado por el amor a su familia y amistades. Ana disfrutaba y a pescar camarones de noche con su hermano Elas y su cuñado Miguelo. Tambin disfrutaba viajes a Los Cayos con su familia, amistades, y la belleza de la naturaleza que la rodeaba. Ana ser¡ recordada especialmente por su fant¡stico sentido del humor, su amor por las bromas, sus puntos de vista conservadores acrrimos, su secreto amor por George W. Bush, y su no tan secreto amor por Donkey Kong. Tambin ser¡ recordada por su espritu de aventura y la tenacidad con la que se aferraba a vivir la vida diariamente.
Le sobreviven sus familiares. Su esposo, Juan Manuel V¡zquez, sus tres hijos - su hija Wendy Ann V¡zquez; su hijo Juan Carlos V¡zquez, su esposa Yaneidy V¡zquez, con sus hijas Elyse Angelina y Myla Rose; y su hija Deborah Ana Covard, su esposo Barry Covard, y sus niños Marek Jakub y Kaleigh Brook. Le sobrevive su cuñada Hilda V¡zquez, su esposo Ramn V¡zquez, y sus hijas Ana Dolores Prestwood e Hilda Mara V¡zquez. Tambin le sobreviven sus sobrinas y sobrinos, Miguel ngel Comas, Ana Crespo, Madeline Barnaba, Jorge Luis Comas, Elas Porras, Scott Porras, Greg Porras y sus respectivas familias. Su hermano mayor Elas Porras cual falleci en el 2010.
