

He was born on July 29, 1941 to Durga and Shankar Kubal in Mumbai, India. After high school, he matriculated to Bankura Medical College in Calcutta, India. In 1969, he immigrated to the United States, where he completed an internal medicine residency at Queens General Hospital in New York. On August 29, 1974, he married Anita Kubal (née Shelar) in Mumbai, India. Upon returning to the United States, he settled in Holmdel, New Jersey and built a successful solo internal medicine practice in the area. He valued education and prided himself on raising three sons who followed in his footsteps to become physicians. After retiring, he and his wife relocated to South Florida to be closer to his children and their families. In his free time, he enjoyed dining out, watching action movies in his home theater, going on daily walks, and traveling the world with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Anant is survived by his wife, Anita and his children Amit of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Anup (Vidya) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and Aarup (Geetha) of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, as well six grandchildren (Juhi, Ajay, Aarav, Akshay, Arjun, and Lara).
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Fred Hunter Funeral Homes, 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, Florida 33024.
