During her first year of life, Aviana was diagnosed with Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (SJIA), which she battled for 3 years until her system succumbed to complications. On October 15th, 2017, cradled in her parents arms, Aviana Rochelle Austin took her journey to Paradise, where the Lord led her home to receive her wings as an angel.
Aviana is the youngest daughter of Michael and Avril Roena Austin of Miramar, FL. She was a fierce protector of her older sister Mikaila. Aviana enjoyed listening to music, dancing, singing, the movies Prince of Egypt & God's Compass, but most of all, Aviana loved the Lord with all her heart. She studied Bible verses, advancing far beyond her years. She attended Sunday School at Community Christian Church, Bridge Church and Oasis Church; she began her first year of worship dance this year. From her hospital bed at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, Aviana told her mother that she wanted everyone to go to heaven. Aviana fell short of obtaining this goal, but managed to bring many believers and non-believers together. She is now resting with the Lord and her grandfather "Papa", who she did not have the opportunity to meet here on Earth.
A public viewing will be held on Sunday, October 29th, 2017 from 5pm - 8pm at the Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024.
