

Benjamin was born in Gloversville, NY on March 6, 1951. He graduated from Gloversville High School in 1970 and went on to receive an Associates Degree from Fulton Montgomery Community College.
Benjamin retired from the United States Navy in1995 after 20 years of decorated service. During this time, he traveled the world and lived in Boston, MA, Norfolk, VA, Gaeta, Italy, and Agana, Guam. He later worked for Fulton Friendship House in Johnstown, NY. He loved the New York Yankees, military history, watching westerns, and most of all, his family. He was actively involved in his community and passionate about volunteering with President Obama’s campaigns. He had a commitment to education and enjoyed donating to local schools as well as to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and Doctors Without Borders.
Benjamin is survived by his children Scott Hall (Joanna), Amanda Mizell (Michael), six grandchildren, his siblings Vanessa Hall, Najeyah Sultan, Douglas Hall, Juanita Schwed (Richard), and sister-in-law Amy Paddock. Also, his aunts Maude Hall and Cathy Brown, uncles Thomas Leslie, Stanley Leslie, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Benjamin is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin F. Hall and Christine Hall, brother-in-law Rasheed Sultan, niece Anita Vrooman, grandson Lincoln Hall, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to teachers at your local school, St. Jude’s Children’s Hosptial, or Doctors Without Borders. The family of Benjamin D. Hall wishes to thank all those who have sent flowers, monetary gifts, prayers, and kind words.
As he requested, the United States Navy will conduct a burial at sea. A celebration of life will be held later, more information will follow.
Benjamin will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. Go Yankees!
