Carol Ann Phillips Bromwell (72) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL passed away April 9, 2018 after a grueling struggle with cancer. She is survived by her life partner, Jesse Simpkins, Sr. of Fort Lauderdale, FL; son, Christopher (Dawn) Bromwell of Cleveland, GA; step grandson, James Kramlich of Duluth, GA; as well as extended family and friends. A longtime resident of Ft. Lauderdale, Carol worked for Esquire Depositions (formerly Ft. Lauderdale Court Reporting) her entire career before retiring in 2013. Carol will be remembered for her wonderful spirit and steadfast perspective of life. Carol enjoyed gardening, working in her yard and watching all the wildlife that visited her home. Carol loved to cook. She was very involved with her son's love of radio controlled car racing when he was younger. They both had their own cars and raced every weekend. She also enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank Broward Health Hospice unit, who provided such loving care and comfort.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest donations be made to the Cancer Research Institute in memory of Carol Bromwell. A memorial service will be held April 28, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 718 S. Federal Hwy, in Ft. Lauderdale.
