Cecile M. Rivera, age 70, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 due to complications from Lung Cancer. Cecile survives within the loving memories of her children Bobby, Gail, Shirley, John, Chet and Jim, as well as her brothers and sisters, Robert, James, Joseph, Sister Joan and Amma, and of course "Charlie" (her dog). Those who really knew her knew she had a bit of a rough life, but despite all of that she plowed through doing what I know now as the best she could. I've had the opportunity to spend the past four years with her and truly see the person she had become. I sat by closely and watched her help complete strangers from her volunteer work at the St. Stephens Church, handing out food, to the simple everyday acts of kindness and selflessness. I feel extremely fortunate to have had these years with my mom and see her blossom to the Angel she is now. Jim Gardner
