Chandra Jagdeo, fondly known as Boodie, passed away on 4 March 2021 in Florida shortly after her 83rd birthday. She was the daughter of the late Ramdularie and Dalip Singh; granddaughter of Pirthisingh and Kalyansingh. She was prédécesed in death by her husband Jattan Jagdeo (1995), siblings Biash, Kai, Harry, Motilal and Chanroopa. She is survived by her siblings Prandaye, Chandradathsingh, Lilawtee, and dear cousin to Kemchand Singh and so many more.
Chandra was a pillar in her community of Reform and will be dearly missed by all. She enjoyed composing and singing traditional Indian music in the bhojpuri style, something she learned from her mother growing up in St John Trace, Avocat village. She demonstrated an undeniable bond with her children, sharing time living in New York, Florida and her beloved Trinidad. Her legacy of music, love and respect for others will live on through her children Ann Marie (Chris Sibbald) Vindra (Dilip Ramkissoon), Angella (Abbas Kashani), Andy (Rachel Rooplal) her nine grandchildren (Tiffany, Shane, Kristin, Stephanie, Liam, Sanjeev, Veeraj, Sanjana and Hemant); and the many other lives that she touched.
