

Diane was born in Nassau, Bahamas on February 12, 1960, to Carl and Lorraine Dames. Diane graduated
from St. Augustine's College then moved to Miami, Fl where she went on to receive an Associate's
Degree from Miami Dade College, followed by a Bachelor's degree from Nova Southeastern University.
Diane worked as a Senior Grant Administrator in the Office of Education and Training at Sylvester
Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Diane was married to Olaleye Olawale. They met in 1981 at Miami Dade College and were a lovely
couple for a total of 38 years while raising a son and a daughter.
Diane always had a will to live. She had a passion for life and enjoyed various activities such as exercising,
shopping and reading novels. Diane was a remarkable woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished by her family
and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Fred Hunter's. Ademola
Adelekan of New Life Pentecostal Church will be officiating. A viewing will be held from 5 pm until 9
pm on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Fred Hunter's. Burial will follow the funeral service at Fred Hunter's
Memorial Garden at 2 pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fred Hunter's in Hollywood,
Florida.

Sister: Virginia Clarke, Nieces: Derese Dames, Devonee Dames, Annique Dames and Kandace Clarke,
Nephews: Derek Dames Jr., Demarcian Dames and Carlyle Thompson, Brothers-in-Law: Kenneth
Clarke, Tunde Olawale, Fimiham Olawale, Bayo Olawale, Dayo Olawale, Larinde Olawale, and Rike
Olawale, Aunts: Virginia Sturrup and Florence Ramsey, Parents-in-Law: Daniel Dele Olawale and
Comfort Aduke Olawale, Daughter-in-Law: Karine Augustin, Lifelong Friends: Georgette Dames
and Lorraine Armbrister of Nassau, Bahamas and other numerous family and friends.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lorraine Dames, and sister, Althamese Ferguson.
