
Donnie was born in Hollywood, Florida, to Donald and Carolyn Coxe on April 15, 1971. He graduated from Cooper City High School in 1990 and from the University of Florida in 1999. He worked as a sales associate for Sears, Circuit City, and AutoZone. Throughout his life, Donnie showed a great interest in collecting comics, reading everything he could, supporting the Dolphins, studying cars, and watching movies and television shows. He was extremely good-natured and known for his wit and sense of humor.
Donnie is preceded in death by his father, Donald Bernard Coxe.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Coxe; his sister, Caroline Darcy (Coxe); and his brother, Christopher Coxe. He was a great brother-in-law to Ed Darcy, Jr., and Jamie Coxe, and a beloved uncle to three nieces, Emma Darcy, Presley Coxe, and Riley Coxe. His close family also included his Aunt Debbie Carreiro, Uncle Jeff Carreiro, and Uncle Ronald Coxe. He will be incredibly missed by his family, as well as by a wonderful group of friends.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 1:00–3:00 p.m. on March 1, 2026, at the Cooper City Community Center, 9000 SW 50th Place, Cooper City, FL 33328. Arrangements are entrusted to Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Broward County.
