Dorothy E. Parchment, 91, of Southwest Ranches, Florida passed away on May 6, 2018. Born in Washington, D.C., Dottie was raised in Virginia and worked as a school teacher there for 25 years before relocating to South Florida. Dottie and her husband Vince were horse owners and trainers at Calder Race Course, now Gulfstream, before taking a position in the security office at Calder. Dottie had an extremely outgoing, larger than life personality. She was a very friendly free-spirited woman who was beloved by all and loved her family dearly.
Survived by her daughters, Carolyn Keirnan (husband, Craig Keirnan) and Susan Scotti; her grandchildren, Carmen Castellanos (husband, Omar Castellanos), Marina Scotti (husband, David Knop), Christi Keirnan, Carli Keirnan, Caitlin Keirnan (fiancé, Jake Long), Chad Keirnan, Brandan Stedfelt; and her beloved dog, Max. Dottie was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Shuford.
