Dorothy Pratt

Pratt, Dorothy Patricia (Pastreck), of Hollywood, 87, born Saint Patrick's Day, March 17, 1923 passed away peacefully on September 28, 2010 at her home in Hollywood. Originally from Springfield, Massachusetts where she graduated from Technical High School. Dorothy spent years living the military life raising her family with her husband. Dorothy lived a life of packing up and moving from base to base leaving Massachusetts for Air Force Bases and exotic places that included Vermont, California, Okinawa, Japan, Hawaii, New Jersey, Ohio and settling in Hollywood, Florida in 1970. The next thirty years she was the perfect Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and Great-Great Grandma until her demise. On Saturday, Sept 25th Dorothy attended her final family function by attending her grandson's wedding on the beach. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Colonel Walter F. Pratt who passed in 1981, brother Eddie Pastreck, sister Elsie Pastreck, and parents Joseph and Mary Pastreck. Dorothy is survived by her son, Michael (Yudis) Pratt of Hollywood and daughter Patricia Keefe of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. She is survived by grandchildren Nina (Lou) Marzilli, Mackinley (Karina) Pratt, Cyrena (Stephen) Douglass, Whitney Pratt and great grandchildren Briana, Blaser, Preston and twins Mckenzie and Makayla and great-great grandchild Izabella. Dorothy will always be remembered for her love of life, her "trooper" attitude, her contageous smile and her love of family.
