She received her primary and secondary education in Jamaica where she lived for a number of years. Returning to Venezuela, she accepted employment with Shell Oil Company and later emigrated from Venezuela to the United States. Except for a brief placement to Italy, Edna spent many years with the U.N in New York.
Edna cherished her family and is very much loved by all. She regularly attended the annual family reunions. Her thoughtfulness and kindness were known by so many.
Edna’s search for knowledge and the deeper meaning of life impelled her to obtain a Master of Theology degree from Baruch College in New York. The essence of her living was to demonstrate kindness to others. In this respect, Edna excelled.
She is preceded in death by her sister Joyce, and by brothers Jeffrey, Victor and Kenneth. Additionally, there remains a host of nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the United States, Venezuela, Mexico, Chile and Jamaica, many of whom are joining us today via Live Stream.
The family wishes to thank the nurses from Evelyn Pearl Registry and from Trust Bridge Hospice for the excellent care delivered to Edna during her final years.
