Elizabeth Beauchamp

Elizabeth T. Beauchamp, known to her friends and loved ones as "Beth," passed to the hands of the Lord on September 10, 2018. Beth will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 67 years, John L. (Jack) Beauchamp, her sons, Steven (Susan), John (Lorraine) and Richard (Victoria), along with her grandchildren, Greg, Christopher, John (Jack), Sarah and Abigail.

Beth was born in Detroit, Michigan where she was raised by her parents, Arthur and Lucille Thompson, with her younger sister, Lorraine (Nelson), who predeceased her. She met the love of her life, Jack, in Detroit, and they were married in 1951. After raising a family in Michigan, she and her husband Jack moved from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan to Fort Lauderdale in 1975, and they made their home there ever since.

Beth will also be remembered and missed by the Fort Lauderdale community, having been the owner and driving force behind Intercoastal Realty for nearly 40 years, bringing it from a local real estate company to a thriving and dominant force in the marketing and sales of residential properties throughout Fort Lauderdale. She counts among her closest friends the scores of real estate professionals with whom she has worked and the hundreds of customers that she advised and helped in the purchase and sale of their homes. Beth's energy, wit and enduring smile will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service in her honor will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 401 SE 15th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale on September 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
