Elizabeth Sutton

Elizabeth Irene "Betty" (Sessler) Sutton, 88, of Sunrise, Florida formerly of Hallandale passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at University Hospital and Medical Center in Tamarac, Florida following a lingering illness.

She was born in East Rochester, New Hampshire on December 14, 1923, daughter of Walter and Ella (Hall) Sessler. Raised and educated in Rochester, Betty moved to Florida in her late twenties and worked for National Cash Register Company for more than 25 years.

A hard working woman, Elizabeth raised her three children while sometimes working three jobs to make ends meet. She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother.

Survived by her beloved children, Diane Elizabeth Howell, Gene Edward Sutton, Jr; three loving grandchildren, Gene Edward Sutton III, Kristina Louise Howell and Tyler James Howell. Also survived by five Great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, James Edward Sutton and her five siblings, Roland Sessler, Walter "Eddie" Sessler, Dorothy Sylain, Barbara Vermette and Lawrence Sessler.

Visitation on Wednesday, October 3rd from 4:00 ~ 6:00 P.M. at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Garden Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood with a funeral service beginning at 6:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Cockeysville, Maryland
