

Francis Henry (Frank) Ward, 87, of Ft. Lauderdale passed away March 28, 2017, at Westchester of Sunrise Assisted Living Facility. He was born April 6, 1929, in Newark, New Jersey, the son of Frank and Laura (Coeyman) Ward.
Frank served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He has lived in South Florida since 1977, coming from Roselle, New Jersey. He lived in Ft. Lauderdale and in Davie where he was a member of St. David Catholic Church. Frank was also a life member of the Second Division Association, Inc., and a member of the Association for Intelligence Officers.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Ines Ross of Cooper City, Florida; Marjorie Kovacs (Steve) of Ponte Vedra, Florida and Jacqueline Copeland (James) of Orange Park, Florida; grandchildren, Donald, Nicholas, Steven, Michelle, Sterling and Haley; great-grandson, Jackson and his former wife, Zaide Chelala of Davie, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jack Ward.
Visitation is 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Fred Hunter's University Drive Home, 2401 S. University Drive in Davie. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2017, at St. David Catholic Church, 3900 S. University Drive in Davie. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in Lauderdale Memorial Park in Ft. Lauderdale.
