He stood tall and proud as a Marine, a husband and a father. He answered the call of duty on every front-country-business and home with honor and integrity. He served his country in many wars and was a full Colonel in the Marine Corps. He never forgot how to have a keen sense of humor or to love animals and birds and nature. He was a strong but gentle Marine who never complained through his many illnesses. He never spoke one bad word about anyone and he will be greatly missed by his wife Mollie of 41 years, his sons Robert and Mark Meyers, his daughter in law Alessandra and his 3 grandchildren; Giorgio, Edoardo and Elektra, his brother Col. Bruce Meyers and his nephews, Boots and Craig Meyers and their families and his many friends. He wished to have his ashes scattered on the ocean in front of the house, so think of him when pelicans fly by in formation or a gull dives for a fish as he loved the sea and diving and boating. Remember, never give up, keep God in your life and love each other as though you do not have another day to live.
