

George was born in Avonmore, Pennsylvania to George O Pfrogner and Nancy Grace Long on March 11, 1929. He married Carol Ann Rimron in August 2007 at Davie Methodist Church in Davie, FL. He graduated from Waynesburg College in 1952, where he was the starting quarterback for the football team, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education. He worked as an Investigator for retail credit-Equifax and a Student Advisor for FIU. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army. His Military Operation Specialty in the Army was Artillery. George was awarded The Good Conduct Medal and The National Defense Service Medal. He was involved in the choir and volunteered at the thrift shop at Davie Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf and collecting coins.
George is preceded in death by Ray Long Pfrogner (brother), Katherine Lee Pfrogner (granddaughter), Carie Anne Pfrogner (granddaughter), and Dan Zurcher (brother in law).
George is survived by Carol Rimron Pfrogner (wife) of Southwest Ranches, FL; George Alan Pfrogner (son) and Gay Pfrogner (daughter in law) of Hollywood, FL; Colin Lee Pfrogner (son) and Mimi Grace Pfrogner (daughter in law) of Tellico Plains, TN; Barbara Bender (sister) of Lafayette, IN; Lee Pfrogner (brother) and Deb Pfrogner (sister in law) of Stuart, FL; Jim Pfrogner (brother) and Ann Pfrogner (sister in law) of Sarasota, FL; Nancy Zurcher (sister) of Sebring, FL; Cody Alan Pfrogner (grandson), Jaxon Colin Pfrogner (grandson), Oliver Quinn Pfrogner (grandson), Evangelina Rose (great-granddaughter), Cash Alan Pfrogner (great-grandson), Stephanie Hinrichs, Eric Young, and Cullen and Taylor Ashley.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 10am on Thursday, April 11 at Davie Methodist Church (6500 SW 47th St, Davie, FL 33314). Arrangements are by Community Church of Davie, Fred Hunter Funeral Home, and the family.
