Jack is preceded in death by his parents Gioacchino and Anna (nee Amendola) Ferrara, and his sister Genevieve Garvin.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Kathleen (nee Doherty) Ferrara and his precious daughter, Nicole Ferrara. He is also survived by his first wife Marilyn (nee Linehan) Ferrara and many beloved Garvin nephews, Keith, Jackie, and CJ, and niece, Catherine (nee Garvin) Lally, and brother-in-law Carl Garvin. He is also survived by his many Ferrara relatives dear to him, uncle and cousins too numerous to list.
Jack graduated from Milton High School and still reminisces about the "gang" from Cunningham Park. He fondly remembered all his friends from all over the Boston area, friends from Scituate, Mass., Plymouth New Hampshire, and Florida.
Jack was proud of the help he provided in emergencies and disasters as a volunteer for the American Red Cross locally and all over the country and after the 911 attack in NYC. He also worked as a leader for young men in the Royal Ranger Program of the Assembly of God church for many years.
Jack had careers in insurance sales, financial planning, and as a home remodeler and handy man.
Always ready for a party and a joke, Jack loved to share stories of his childhood and of escapades from throughout his life. Jack will be remembered for the love he showed his family and the sober life he led for many decades. He made many friends during his life and never shut the door on someone in need.
