James Emory Lowe was born August 10, 1928 in Nassau, Bahamas. He was the first of seven children born to Fanny and Clerihew Lowe.
Emory received his formal education at Queen's College school in Nassau after which he went to work for the Royal Bank of Canada. He later worked at a family business owned by his father until moving to Hollywood, FL in 1974. Emory and his brother Buddy went to work in real estate, primarily engaged in selling and handling the financing of land owned by their father.
Emory made a life-changing decision at the age of 18 when he made a personal decision that, although he had grown up in a Christian home, he had to make a personal decision to accept Jesus as his Savior. This change became the guiding force in his life and led him to a life of service as a Sunday School teacher and elder at Shirley Heights Gospel Chapel in Nassau and later at Hollywood Bible Chapel. He is now at home with his Lord and Savior who he trusted and served throughout his life.
Emory is survived by his wife Betty; three sons, Colin, Mark and Timothy; three daughters-in-law, Nancy, Bonnie and Myriam; six grandchildren, Candice Masi, Christie Lawrence, Megan Lowe, Brian Lowe, Breanna Lowe and Juliana Lowe; two grandsons-in law, Philip Masi and Justin Lawrence; five great grandchildren, Treyton Masi, Taylor Lawrence, Avianna Masi, Parker Lawrence and Braxton Masi; two sisters, Joy Jossi and Grace Pinder; one brother-in-law, Lyman Pinder; Sister-in-Law Jettie Lowe, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was pre-deceased by four siblings, Natalie Saunders, Margaret Jannsen, Gilbert Lowe and Lowell Lowe and three brothers-in-law, Donald Saunders and Jack Jannsen and Al Jossi: one sister in law, Sadie Lowe.
