September 18, 1950 - August 18, 2018
It is with full hearts that we announce Janice Lee Faurot, 67, passed away unexpectedly. Jani was born and raised in Lima, Ohio and a graduate of Shawnee High School. She attended Bowling Green State University before heading off to the "teal waters of her tropical paradise" in Miami Beach, Florida, where she remained until her passing. Her artistic talents led her into the floral design and event business where she spent her years crafting incredible floral masterpieces for events as large as the US Open and Super Bowl and as intimate as family weddings. She expressed her art off the job in her paintings and numerous other artistic creations for her home and family. Her art was an integral part of who she was, and we cherish the original art that she has so generously shared with all of us. She was married for 38 years to the love of her life, to her "knight in shining armor", Joseph Weber, a Miami Beach policeman, who preceded her in death. She felt very blessed to have found her loving husband and to be part of her supportive family.
Jani was funny and sweet and peppered with a sharp sense of humor. She was nurturing and warm and always thinking of ways to make you feel special and loved. She was never afraid to stick up for someone she loved, always on their side with a 'pick on someone your own size' mindset. She wasn't afraid to tell you her opinion, but was just as willing to listen to yours. She was kind, loving, brave and fierce, and not afraid to use power tools. She was also humble enough to never stop striving to become "a better person", in her own words.
Jani was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings Judi and Jon. She is survived by sisters, Jill Leone Gerken and Jean Lenlee Neering, brothers Leonard Lee Faurot II (Chip) and George Franklin Faurot (Tip), 10 nieces and nephews, 3 great nephews and several cousins. Her spirit will live on within us all. Night night sweetheart.
