

Died of complications due to vascular disease at a hospice facility on May 9th, 2023.
Jan was born on September 25th, 1931 in Belton, Texas. She is the daughter of Francis le Clair & Pearl Mangham.
She attended University of North Carolina where she met her first husband Roderick Hopkins. They had 8 children (4 sons and 4 daughters). She married Robert (Bob) Bolte in 1977 and they had 1 daughter.
She had a love for quilting which she inherited from her mother. She was also a member of several local quilting guilds. After working for Sears Roebuck, for more than 30 years, she retired and began her volunteer work at Cooper City Elementary school, and Susan B. Anthony, where she taught her love for quilting to young mothers with hardships. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents and her siblings Sylvia, Charlotte and Duke, her husband Bob, son Steve and son-in-law Hutch.
She is survived by her 8 children, Tom Hopkins, his wife Judy, Barbara Hockman, Ginger Hopkins, Michelle Evans, her husband Jim, Tim Hopkins, Jimmy Hopkins, Aileen Hopkins, Mary Byrne and her husband Erik.
11 grandchildren, Diana Evans, Megan Lawson, her husband Sean, Michael Evans, Kelly Reed, her husband Brandon, Brian Hopkins, his fiancé Beth, Melina Hopkins, Ryan Hopkins, Mikey Coates, his wife Chelsea, Alyssa Giannone, Jackson Byrne and Piper Byrne.
6 great grandchildren, Brandon Jr., Emmalyn, Carter, Caelyn, Sawyer and Sydney.
Service will be held on May 15, 2023 by Minister Kevin McGee.
