Joan was born in Sicily, Italy, to Angelo and Teresa Circo on February 12, 1929. Joan went to school in Brooklyn, New York. She married John Magnavita on April 12, 1958, at the Marble Collegiate Church in New York City. She graduated from Lincoln High School, worked for New York Telephone Company for about 20 years, and was honored by the Telecom Pioneers for her contributions.
Joan is preceded in death by her father and mother, Angelo and Teresa, and her husband, John.
Joan is survived by her immediate family: daughter Ann, son John, daughter-in-law Michelle, and grandson John Michael.
