

John was born in Hollywood, Florida on April 22, 1966 and passed away suddenly of natural causes on November 8, 2016 at the age of 50. He was a loving husband, father and son. He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Dawn (Martorella) Vetter, three loving daughters, Carlisha (Marc) Magnarella, Gianna Vetter and Kaitlyn Vetter, devoted parents Paul and Madeline (Demolfetto) Vetter, sister-in-law, Deborah Vetter, niece, Alyssa Vetter, nephew, Dylan Vetter, extended family in Florida, Georgia & New Jersey and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Robert "Joe" Vetter who passed February 1st of this year.
John grew up in Miramar Florida, excelled in Judo as a member of the Miramar Judo Club and attended Miramar High School Class of 1984. In his youth, John enjoyed being in truck clubs, participating in bass fishing tournaments and being a competition winning country line dancer with his childhood sweetheart, Dawn Martorella, whom he wed in 1987. They started a family shortly after and together have raised 3 daughters who were his world. At a young age, John became a volunteer firefighter before beginning work in the HVAC industry where he quickly excelled in all aspects of his industry. Throughout his career, John became an expert of his craft and ran many successful companies. In his final years, John was a partner with Green Star Air-conditioning in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. John was also a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting from the time he was a young man. In his youth, he enjoyed working on his bass boat and his Pontiac Grand Am. These hobbies brought him much joy throughout his life. He also was a huge Miami Dolphins fan and spent fall weekends watching his beloved team with his friends and family. Always the avid sports fan, when his daughters were in high school, John began coaching the girls flag football team at Pembroke Pines Charter High School. Over the 10 years he coached, he had the opportunity to not only coach all 3 of his daughters but countless other young women in a sport he loved. His passion and devotion to coaching led to the building of an established team and many championship wins. In 2014, he had the honor of walking his oldest daughter, Carlisha, down the aisle and welcoming in a new son to the family in her husband Marc. John had a lively spirit and a warm heart. He always knew how to make everyone laugh and was truly the heart of his entire family.
Visitation on Sunday, November 13th from 5:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. Funeral Service on Monday, November 14th at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Entombment at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Mausoleum immediately following the service.
