Joseph Murl Cangialosi

Joe was born in Paterson, NJ to Joseph Jermone and Muriel Ruth (Stern) Cangialosi on September 11, 1948. He graduated from Carol City High School in 1967 and married Sharon Incosky on December 2, 1967 in Carol City, Florida. In January 1968, he joined the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an assistant manager at Zales when he started his own landscaping business and later opened Cangy’s Landscaping & Nursery. He finished his career with the City of Hollywood as a Superintendent of Landscape and Design. 

Joe founded TSC Sports Program in 1985 for his son Timothy who had special needs, so he could participate in sports like his brother. He also founded a Boy Scout Troop for special needs children and was the President of the Pasadena Lakes Optimist Club. He received the Walter Seth Kipnis Community Spirit Award in April 25, 1987. 

Joe was preceded in death by son Timothy Shane Cangialosi, and his parents Joseph and Muriel Cangialosi.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Sharon; his son Joseph Shawn and daughter inlaw (Lisa) Cangialosi; one sister, Bonnie (Cangialosi) Mahlbacher; two brothers David  and sister inlaw (Jodi) Cangialosi and Daniel and sister inlaw (Susan) Cangialosi; Granddaughters Tabitha and Tarah Cangialosi; Great Grandson Shane Cangialosi and many nephews, nieces and cousins that adored him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024. The viewing will be from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and the service from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood FL 33024.
