

Josephine V. Cataldo/Boyer, 90 yrs old, passed away on August 17, 2010.Josephine Cataldo, wife of the late Joseph V. Cataldo, passed away on August 17, 2010, after a long battle with diabetes /heart problems. She is survived by her three children, Joseph Cataldo Jr. , Eleanor & Norman Campbell & Roland Cataldo, all of Pembroke Pines, Fl. She is also survived by her 2 brothers & 2 sisters, Tony & Mary Tarquinio, Fannie Beaver, Jennie Sabbitino all of Staten Island & Nicholas Tarquinio of New Jersey,
Josephine was born on May 21, 1920, in a little town north of Venice, Italy, came to this country when she was only 4 month old with her mother, Maria, lived on Staten Island, N.Y. till 1957. Mom & Dad in 1957, decided to start a new life in Hollywood, Fla. with Mom, Pop, 3 kids, Grandma & a dog in a 1951 Packard, with no A/C. traveled to Fl. They opened a small restaurant in N. Dade, Cataldos Pizza Villa, that same year. Till then Mom dedicated her life, at being a good wife & mother, since the opening of the restaurant she added a new title to her resume OWNER & TOP CHEF. Met John Boyer, her second husband at the restaurant, a good man, married 15 yrs. He passed away in 1995. She was Mrs. C to her family of customers, and to some she was MOM. Remembering names wasnt her thing, but she never forgot the face that went with their order. She had a smile that would touch & warm your heart.
She retired at the age of 72. She & her Family had made many good friends over the 30 some years in business. To this day, some still call her Mrs. C or Mom. Many years have gone by, people have come & gone, death leaves a heart ache that time can only heal, but love leaves memories that will always be with us & that time cannot steal
