Gosh, since hearing about Sweet Aunt Joyce I went diving into old photos... I was sooo happy when I found a couple!! Everything written on this page is true... My Aunt Joyce was the sweetest, kindest, loveliest person I ever had the honor of knowing. Most of my memories are from my childhood and I remember her always having something yummie and special for us girls to eat, letting us play our music loud while dancing in our go-go boots to Nancy Sinatra and her unbelievable ability to make you feel more special than anyone on the planet!! When she and my mom would share stories her laughter was absolutely unforgettable and the most beautiful sound - I will never forget. Sooo many wonderful childhood memories revolve around Aunt Joyce and Uncle Bob. I wish I could be there to hug you all... To the girls and your families... we will see Aunt Jouce again!! Uncle Bob... Words cannot begin to describe how broken I feel. I am missing not just my Mom, my confidant, but my Best Friend. However, I am grateful for having the pleasure and honor of being her daughter. Mrs. Shay was such a lovely woman. I had not seen her in many years, but when I think of her, I think about good times at her house, her sweetness and generosity and loving ways. She raised 3 beautiful, sweet and kind daughters and was always there for them and Mr. Shay. I know it's hard at this time for them, but also know they must have a sense of peace knowing that she is now their angel watching over them. You all are in our prayers, Love you!

I have had the pleasure of calling Joyce "MOM", for nearly 20 years of my natural life. You are and will always be the most wonderful Mother In Law, that anyone could ask for. I truly LOVE YOU with all my heart, and heaven has been blessed with our guardian angel. Love Ronnie :)

I never had the pleasure of meeting Joyce however I am friends with her daughter Lisa. I could tell that Joyce was an amazing woman just by how Lisa spoke of her. To the family of Joyce I send my deepest condolences. I pray that the Lord comforts you through this diffcult time.

I remember meeting Mrs Shay when she was in the hospital i think maybe 2 yrs ago. She had such a sweet smile and a peaceful demeanor. I didn't know Mrs Shay but i work with her daughter Lori at the hospital. I can tell that the faith and good heart of Mrs Shay was passed down to her daughter. That is a legacy that will never fade. I am so sorry for the loss but I know her memory, her heart full of love will be passed down through the family and that means a lot. Again i am sorry and pray for comfort from the Lord during this time of grieving.

My heart aches for the loss of my best friend, my meemaw!! But I rejoice because you are no longer in pain and you are in heaven! I love and miss you! My best friend!

Aunt Joyce was a very caring and giving person who was devoted to her family and friends. I treasure the time we spent together. Her sense of humor, laughter and compassion is something that will always be a part of those who knew her. You will be missed. My condolences and sympathy to the family.
