Karen was born in North Miami to Jennie Douglas and Jack Douglas on September 26, 1964. She married Hans William Deryk on November 1, 1986 in Hialeah, Florida.
She was an advertising/marketing production director for Starmark in Fort Lauderdale where she worked since 2006.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents Jennie Douglas, Jack Douglas, Bill and Maria Deryk and brother- in law Bobby Hawthrone.
Karen is survived by husband Hans Deryk, sons Ryan and Cameron Deryk, sister Debra Hawthorne, sister-in-law Yvonne Circelli, brother-in-law Sam Circelli, nephews Brian Michael Douglas, Christopher Circelli his wife Julie Circelli, their daughter Violet Circelli and nieces Michelle Woods and Amanda Circelli and her son Matteo Forgetta.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 5 pm Friday, May 17, 2024 in Davie, Florida. Arrangements are by Fred Hunters Funeral Home.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the good doctors, nurses and staff at the Cleveland Cancer Clinic, the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, Memorial West and Dr. Paul Bates.
